Cash Registers
These are generally integrated machines built within a single cabinet that also incorporates a cash drawer. The choice of model is generally down to the number of departments/trading areas or products that you wish to control. A simple Cash Register will handle about 8 Departments and about 300 products, a mid range machine will handle perhaps 100+ Departments and perhaps 6000 products whilst the largest models will handle 150+ departments and upward of 12000 products. Cash registers are generally used stand-alone but some models can be linked to form a multi terminal system and some models will accept a bar code scanner. There is software available that will allow registers to be linked to a PC for programming, stock control or reporting purposes. Prices start from £300.00

EPOS Terminal
These are powerful systems that are generally modular in design so you can set the hardware up on your premises in the way that best suits your method of operation. The first choice is to select either a conventional keyboard or touch screen front end, then you choose the number and type of printers (which can be shared) a bar code scanner if you want it and finally one or multiple cash drawers. The operating options are all embedded and you simply turn on or off the features that you do or do not require. These are very reliable systems not subject to the problems normally associated with PC's despite their complexity. They can be linked to each other and into existing PC networks if required and there is Software available to enable stock control and programming or the collecting of reports via PC. Retail Terminal
These are basically PC's built for the retail market, they have all the connectivity of your office PC plus a drawer port. They will have an operating system embedded usually Windows or Linux and they load up just like you office PC and then as on your PC you need to add a piece of Software to run whatever task you wish to control. We can offer a range of software for general retail applications and restaurant operations with a choice of features. A good package will generally have available as add-ons extra modules to allow you to enhance the basic product to better integrate with your business, such things as a Bookings Module or a Loyalty management option or perhaps a customer accounts facility.
